On the heels of a successful Summer League stint, Bronny James might not be done playing organized basketball this summer.

Speaking to Mark Medina of RG.Org, Drew League commissioner Dino Smiley said he has heard that James "might play" this weekend.

"I’ve heard Bronny, but nothing clear on that yet. I heard Bronny might play," Smiley said when asked if there was any buzz on NBA players showing up. "But nothing concrete. Earlier in the summer, there was talk about Dalton Knecht and Cam Christie playing."

he Drew League has featured some of the biggest stars in NBA history, including a memorable appearance from Bronny's father in 2022.

LeBron James, after an 11-year absence, returned to the pro-am league three years ago and played with DeMar DeRozan. He put up 42 points and 16 rebounds for the MMV Cheaters in a 104-102 victory over Black Pearl Elite.

Bronny honored LeBron's most recent Drew League appearance by wearing the same Nike shoes that his dad did three years ago when he played in the California Classic earlier this month.

Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Trae Young, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson are among the past and current NBA superstars who have previously played in the Drew League.

There are 12 games on the Drew League schedule this weekend. It's the final weekend before the playoffs begin next weekend.
